Dr. Gary Jagmin graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry with his brother Dr. Larry Jagmin in 1977. Upon graduation, both he and his brother opened their first dental office in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
Dr. Gary lectured in Periodontics and Histology to the dental hygiene students in the Prairie State College Dental Hygiene program. He was also a clinical supervising dentist there for nine years. During Marian High School’s Career Days, he speaks to the students about careers in the dental field. Besides being a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Gary is also a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Northwestern Indiana Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is certified in soft tissue laser, graduated from the United States Dental Institute with over 500 hours in orthodontic training and has received extensive training in the placement of mini dental implants for denture stabilization. Dr. Gary has been awarded “Top Dentist” every year since 2012, as featured in the Chicago Tribune; this award is nominated by and voted on by his peers in the Chicago area, and he is the only dentist recognized in the Dyer, Indiana area.
